Our Four Priorities

What is going to make a real difference in our student's lives? Here are our four priorities--the stuff that matters!
Families

The family circle is the most important circle of all! We are a resource for families to grow in faith.

Discipleship

Falling in love with Jesus and becoming passionate about His Word is what we pray powers our student’s lives.

Student Leadership

Our students are old enough to lead! They have talents and energy to make a difference.

Missions

God’s truth in our lives is activated when it is shared–especially with the “least of these” in our world.

Our Disciple-Making Programs

Our programs (hover mouse below) strive to lead our young people into God's purposes for their lives.

Our Team

Our CAYA ministry team is large--over 100 strong! God's work could not be accomplished without an army of parent and other volunteer ministers. God is working through each of them. As a support to them, we have an office team (below) that focuses on expanding our volunteer's ability to minister to our youth.
William Hurtado
Youth Pastor
Pastor Will’s passion is to empower young people and their families to live for Christ, unashamed! In 2012, William and his family joined the Collegedale church where William enjoys leading the youth ministry to become exactly what Jesus would want it to be: A place that disciples young people to lead themselves and their families to the feet of Jesus Christ. Nothing more; nothing less!
Litch and Shelly Litchfield
Youth Ministry Associates for Discipleship
Litch completed a degree in Psychology and Social Work at Southern Adventist University in 1974. After completing a ministerial degree at Newbold College in England, Pastor Litch and Shelly married in 1976. They had four adventurous years pastoring in Exeter and Southampton, England where they found their love of youth ministry. Litch spent most of the last 35 years as an academy chaplain, serving at Collegedale Academy for 17 years. They believe young people are “some of the most spiritual people on the planet.”
Ana Bechard
CAYA Central Director
Ana is a senior at Southern Adventist University studying Religious Studies and Youth Ministry. It’s a pleasure for her to work with the Collegedale youth through Sabbath school, CAYA Central, Cool Camp, and Bible studies. Ana loves growing closer in relationship to the youth and it is her desire to help lead them into a closer relationship with Christ.
